Vitamins, in general, have a proven preventive effect against cancer. Vitamin D, in particular, stands out for its antitumor capacity, a property that has been corroborated by scientific studies.

The problem arises when the vitamin is administered improperly and that can be harmful: may lead to an increased calcium, which can be harmful to the bony structures. At present, we investigated possible combinations with radiotherapy. Recent research has shown that the combination of both elements is of great destructive power against colon cancer, myeloid leukemia and myeloma. (more…)

This became evident after the recent launch of the new Code Against Cancer by the European Commission, which has revealed the importance of diet for the prevention of this disease, one of the scourges of global health.

The aim of the new code is to ensure that deaths are reduced by 20% in Europe over a period of twelve years. To achieve this objective, member countries of the European Community shall implement the 11 recommendations that set the code, of which three are directly related to food. (more…)

Prevention is always better than cure and in the case of serious diseases like cancer, it is very useful to fill the kitchen with foods that are proven to have anticancer properties and not far from the food we daily.
